My wife and I are pleased to recommend Angelika most highly. We confronted her with an unusual challenge: How to integrate selected traditional and transitional furnishings and artwork from two large apartments, while updating the look of our pre-war home with a mix of new furnishings and decorative accessories plus several reupholstering jobs. The situation was most challenging in the living room because the space was dominated by a huge and colorful Persian rug plus a voluminous antique, both of which we love and preferred to keep. We had been told by several highly regarded designers we had interviewed previously that the rug and the antique in that living room were in the way of a successful redecoration and thus “had to go.” But then we met Angelika, and she didn’t think ours was a case of “Mission Impossible.” She rose to the challenge with open-mindedness, imagination, flexibility and sensitivity to art, space and design. She found ways to mix, match and move around existing furnishings, art and fixtures while guiding us to new pieces, exquisite fabrics and excellent suppliers. The artwork was displayed in a manner such that connections were made within each room and also from one room to the next – a visually stunning achievement. Angelika did an excellent job with the full construction and interior design of our medical office. She was able to create a space that our patients and staff have complimented multiple times as a place of relaxation and thoughtfulness. In particular I was impressed with her: 1) ability to interact with contractors, electricians, and assemblers. 2) ability to promptly choose furniture/artwork and choose with ease where to place them. 3) extremely quick communication, I was able to reach her at all times. 4) availability to get the job done at a time crunch. 5) ability to draw the blueprints to create a custom reception desk and entryway sign. 6) ability to provide samples of paint, wood, flooring etc to allow me to visualize the space. 7) facilitate/schedule deliveries and movement of furniture into the space.
